About us

We are a small village nursery based in Capel-Le-Ferne and have been operating for over 15 years. We are located within Capel-Le-Ferne Primary School grounds surrounded by beautiful nature.

Here at Casper Nursery we pride ourselves on being a 'family feel' run setting with many staff having their own children attend previously and some staff having worked here for many years. In May 2022, we came under new ownership by our long standing manager and in May 2023 we achieved yet another OUTSTANDING Ofsted. 

All nursery practitioners are fully qualified level 3 or above in Early Years childcare. Practitioners are motivated and passionate about providing specialised services for parents and children. All practitioners are kept up to date on legislatory practices within the areas of Special Educational Needs (SEN), Child Protection and English as a second language. We recognise that all children are individual and are diverse in all areas and are treated with respect. Children's wellness and welfare is paramount and practitioners continue to provide a safe, happy and exciting enviroment for all children.

Casper Nursery was set up to provide excellent childcare and educational facilities for all families in the surrounding areas. As well as being surrounded by a beautiful enviroment we are also fortunate enough to be able to use Capel-Le-Ferne Primary school facilities. Our services are ideal for those families who are looking for out-of-school care for their children as we offer both Breakfast Club and Afterschool Club.

Local Amenities 

Capel-Le-Ferne is a small village and community on the White Cliffs of Dover, which is located between Dover, West Hougham and Folkestone. We believe that a big part of children's lives and growing up is learning about the different communities in our world. Within a 5 minute walking distance we have the local park and Capel village hall which holds a 'Farmers Market' every tuesday, which the children enjoy when we go to visit.

We also have bus stops within walking distance with bus routes to Dover and Folkestone.

To support the community and spread kindness, the children made some Christmas cards for the residents at a local resident home in Dover - 'Laurestone House'. The residents were so happy and thankful to receive them, so we organised a visit to Laurestone House in December 2023'. During our visit the children sung Christmas Carols and joined in with Christmas activities organised by Laurestone House.
